Hey again!

My last blog got a lot of readers, thanks Sean for tweeting it! :D I missed blogging here.

So what's happening this week?

For starters, Portal 2 was released in the United States today, yay! Europeans, you'll have to wait 'til the 21st! I've been seeing Portal 2 ads all over Seattle, and this game is hyped for a reason, check it out!

Then there is the Copenhagen Games LAN. The games played there are Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Source and StarCraft 2 (I believe). The total prize money for the event is roughly £50 000, where CSS and 1.6 both have about a £20 000 prize pool each. I'm sure we could all agree on that it's a lot of money for this kind of event!

Prize money for CS 1.6 and CSS

1. 75 000 DKK (~10 050 euro)
2. 35 000 DKK (~4 700 euro)
3. 20 000 DKK (~2 700 euro)
4. 10 000 DKK (~1 300 euro)
5-8. 2 500 DKK (~335 euro)
5-8. 2 500 DKK (~335 euro)
5-8. 2 500 DKK (~335 euro)
5-8. 2 500 DKK (~335 euro)

And of course, as usual, there's all kinds of crazy shit going on for the StarCraft 2 fans. TSL3, GSL and Vägen Till Korea (by Rakaka and Logitech). Keep jizzing SC2:ers, the content you're getting seems to be unlimited.

I'm not really a fan of SC2, I only watch it when there's nothing else on. And I don't know weither to be excited about all the StarCraft hype or not. I'm guessing it's good for eSports as a whole, but doesn't it compete with other games as well? I'd gladly watch Quake Live or Call of Duty 4 over StarCraft 2, any day of the week. But unfortunately, we might be seeing less QL, CoD4, CSS and more SC2, SC2 and SC2. Too bad.

MORE ABOUT ME NAO.

I might be permanently relocating to the US in the near future, just because I've got a decent job here and I'm really comfortable. Downside is that all my friends are from Europe, as well as all my favorite eSports teams and players!

We'll see what happens.

Thanks for reading, I'm out!
